Amid the ongoing military conflict between India and Pakistan, the Indian Railways ran five special trains on Friday to assist passengers in the border cities of Jammu, Udhampur, and Pathankot. Around 300 individuals associated with Indian Premier League (IPL) teams, including cricketers and staff, utilized a special Vande Bharat train to travel to Delhi. The IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings was called off in Dharamsala due to security concerns, leading the players and staff to take the Vande Bharat train from Jalandhar. Over 8,000 passengers traveled to Delhi from the affected cities, which are experiencing blackouts and potential threats from Pakistan. Various special trains were operated, with officials confirming no cancellations. Railway operations remain unaffected by blackouts, with contingency plans in place if needed.
