On Saturday, according to Palestinian rescue services, at least five individuals lost their lives in Israeli airstrikes in the northern Gaza Strip. Four of these fatalities occurred during the bombing of a residential building in Gaza City, with several more injured and others presumed to be trapped beneath the debris. Another woman met a tragic end in an attack on the Jabalia refugee camp, as per emergency services reports. However, these reports could not be confirmed independently. The Israeli military remained silent on the incidents.
Israel has escalated its attacks on targets linked to the Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip, as they claim. The latest round of attacks followed a day after the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) announced that all its food stocks in the coastal territory have been exhausted due to the ongoing Israeli blockade on humanitarian aid.
As per the health authority in the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Hamas, more than 51,300 people have lost their lives since the conflict began following Hamas’ attacks on Israel, which took place on October 7, 2023.
